A PURSE was snatched from the office of a care home last week.

Between 7.30am and 1pm on Wednesday, 13 June, a purse was stolen from an office in Oakridge House, in Jefferson Road.

A card from the purse was used the same day to purchase a Breitling watch worth £6,300 at the Goldsmiths store in Festival Place.

An attempt was also made to use the card at the Beaverbrooks store in Festival Place, but this was not successful.

Police have released images of a man officers would like to identify as part of this investigation.

He is described as white, aged 23 to 30-years-old, of medium build and wore a black baseball cap and a black t-shirt.

PC Paul Martin said: “Do you know who this man is? Perhaps someone has offered to sell you a Breitling watch for sale recently? If so, please contact us.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to make sure personal items are kept securely and to not disclose PINs for bank cards.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting 44180220612.
