A WOMAN was followed in her car by a group of men she challenged for driving around a sports complex car park.
At around 10pm on Friday, a 36-year-old woman, challenged a group of men who were seen driving around the car park of Down Grange Sports Complex in Pack Lane.
The men then left their vehicles and were said to have damaged hers, a black Mercedes A Class, but as the victim drove away, she said she was followed through town by vehicles including a white Mercedes saloon car and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The woman was unharmed and reported the incident to the police.
Police staff investigator Michael Longmore said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about what happened.
“Were you in the car park at the time and saw what happened? The victim states there was a motorcyclist in the car park at the time, and other cars were parked there. If you were there and saw what happened, please call us.
“Equally we would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing a black Mercedes A Class car being followed by other vehicles that evening.”
A 22-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
