REMAINERS from across north Hampshire descended on London on Saturday.
Members of North Hampshire for Europe travelled to take part in the march for a People’s Vote on any final Brexit deal in central London, joining a crowd estimated at over 100,000
Members marched down Whitehall under their distinctive banners.
Jonathan Buisson, the group’s acting chair, said: “The vast numbers joining the march, two years on from the referendum, show clearly that the ‘Will of the people’ is a myth — the public is turning it’s back on the government’s botched negotiations and there is growing realisation that any Brexit deal will be bad for the country.
"We’ve already found this at our street stalls in Basingstoke and Fleet. Our local MPs need to take note of this and stop sticking their heads in the sand as time ticks away.”
