A MAN used a sledgehammer to break into a jewellers and steal around £60,000 in goods.
Police have released CCTV imagery to aid in their investigation into the burglary at the Beaverbrooks store in Festival Place, just after 11pm on Sunday, 17 June.
The man used a sledgehammer to break a window of the store when he stole 17 Breitling watches, with a total value of around £60,000, from the store, before leaving the shopping centre and running away.
The man is described as white, around 6ft tall, wearing a grey hooded top with a black body, grey tracksuit bottoms with three vertical black stripes and white Adidas logo, grey gloves and grey trainers and having a black rucksack strapped to his front.
The man’s face cannot be clearly scene in the CCTV image, however, police are keen to hear from anyone who saw a man wearing similar clothing at around this time.
