REAMS and reams of bunting were spread across the playground of a Basingstoke primary school in a world record attempt.

As part of NHS Bunting Challenge, students at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, in Popley designed their own individual bunting to be sown together.

The idea of the challenge was for children to recognise that everyone is different, but that okay, and that despite the differences wan come together for a greater need.

The final stretch of bunting, which took up most of the St Bede’s playground was unveiled at the school on May 22.

However, the students will have to hold their breathe to discover if they are record breakers until July 7, when the final measurement will be revealed.
