FIREFIGHTERS managed to stop a garage fire in Baughurst on Saturday evening from spreading to a house.
Crews from Basingstoke and Tadley could see large plume of smoke emanating from a home in Sheridan Crescent as they approached when called out at 6.10pm.
The firefighters used two hose reels, one jet and four sets of breathing apparatus to control the fire which the service said caused damage to 20 per cent of the property, but crews said they prevented the fire from spreading to the home.
