A QUEEN Mary’s College student is set to represent his country in the target sprint.
Morten van der Schee, 16, will take part in the sport at the Junior World Cup and ISSF World Championships.
In the build-up to both competitions, the Hook teenager will be travelling to Italy, Germany, Holland and South Korea.
Morten started shooting with Hook Scouts at the age of 11 and quickly progressed to the National Scouts Rifle Squad.
Within a year he became junior champion in one of the shooting disciplines and won a silver medal in target sprint, aged 13 - missing the gold medal by one second.
Target sprint combines running with target shooting and the sport hoping to secure a place at the next Commonwealth Games.
