AN ENQUIRY has been launched after the sudden death of a man in Hartley Wintney.

Police were called to Pippin Square shortly after 5.30am today and have confirmed this afternoon a 58 year-old man has died at a home in the area.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

Forensics officers have been spotted at the scene for most of the day and Hampshire Constabulary has said a Home Office post-mortem will be undertaken in due course.

Both Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Central Ambulance Service were also at the scene with the fire service said they were called at 4.42am on a medical call-out.
