BASINGSTOKE Ladies Choir entertained a packed Carnival Hall with its Celebration of Life and Love concert.
The concert on Saturday was in aid of St Michael’s Hospice and was held in memory of Judy Ball who was a member of the choir for many years.
The audience, which included the mayor and mayoress of Basingstoke and Deane, enjoyed a varied repertoire including a South-American salsa, an African dance chant and many contemporary pieces.
With the money from ticket sales and collection buckets all being donated to the hospice, the event managed to raise more than £900.
The Basingstoke Ladies choir is now looking forward to a short tour in Cornwall in June and the annual concert in October alongside the Hampshire Police Male Voice choir. For more details, go to basingstokeladieschoir.co.uk.
