THERE will be partial night time road closures on the A33 next week due to overnight resurfacing works.

There will be a partial closure on the Reading-bound A33 from 8pm to 5am, Tuesday to Saturday due to the works.

This will be in place from just north of the Popley Way junction to just east of the Crockford Roundabout.

The closures are part of £10.6m works ongoing by Hampshire County Council on the A33 in Chineham at the Crockford and Great Binfields roundabouts.

This work has involved widening existing approach works, widening the roads on the roundabouts, installing traffic lights, and upgrading pedestrian and cycle ways.

There will be a second phase of overnight closures from Tuesday, 29 May to Friday, 1 June.

This stage will require the full closure of the A33 at the roundabout of both the Reading-bound and Basingstoke-bound carriageways, from just north of Popley Way junction to just east of Crockford R oundabout.

The closures will be between 8pm and 5am.

Local signed diversions will be in place.

Hampshire County Council says it is doing the work at night to minimise traffic disruption.
