AN EVENT an Basingstoke Discovery Centre on Tuesday, 15 May will look at the role of fighter pilots tasked with defending the UK.
Squadron leader Joe Marsden will reveal the role of the Fighter Controllers, from the Battle of Britain to the present day.
Find out how these specialists have evolved with the technology available, from the basic radars of 1940 to the high-tech digital displays of today, looking at the tactics used to maintain the safety of the skies around our shores every day.
