A POLICE appeal has been launched after a man touched a woman inappropriately on a train and then followed her on to the platform at a station.

Just before 9am on 10 March, a man approached a woman who was travelling on board the train from Basingstoke to Woking.

He attempted to build a conversation with the woman before he touched her inappropriately.

Feeling concerned for her safety, the woman moved to another carriage but once at her destination, Woking railway station, he followed her on the platform until she met friends at the station.

He then boarded another train before leaving the service at London Waterloo.

Officers would like to speak to the man in these image as they believe he may have information which could help the investigation.
