HOW educational technology has taken root in businesses and colleges was the focus of a conference last week.

Wednesday last week saw a range of learning technology leaders and innovators come together at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) to discuss how blended learning can benefit both learners and staff in education.

Organised by Global Vocational Skills, the Exploring and Advancing Technology Innovations in Skills event saw presentations from a range of industry leaders, including BCoT’s digital innovation specialist Scott Hayden.

Global Vocational Skills is a digital publishing house that supplies interactive digital content to the further education, corporate and commercial sectors.

The event further cemented BCoT’s position as a leading light of education technology in further education, having recently been recognised at the 2018 Tes FE Awards for ‘outstanding use of technology for improving teaching, learning and assessment’ and being listed as the leading college and one of only three colleges in the Edtech50.
