THE royalty who will grace a summer carnival have been chosen.
The Old Basing Carnival Selection Disco took place on Friday, 9 March, where 56 children from the village came dressed in their party attire and danced away with this year's royal party eventually being chosen.
This year, Lucy O’Neill, 10, from Old Basing, will be the princess while Amy Connor, seven, from Lychpit, will be her attendant.
The prince will be Daniel Kean, nine, from Lychpit, while his escort will be John Love, seven, from Old Basing.
The royal party from 2017 crowned their counterparts for this year at the event.
This year's carnival is on Saturday, 16 June with the theme of book titles.
