THE man charged with the murder of Jason Williams, whose body was found in a South Ham park, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court last week.
David John Brewer, 34, of West Ham Close, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, 9 March, where he entered a plea of not guilty to one count of murder.
Brewer was charged on February 24 after he was arrested on suspicion of the murder of 41-year-old Jason Williams, whose body was found in Russell Howard Park, in the early hours of Tuesday, 20 February.
A 37-year-old man, also from Basingstoke, was also arrested as part of the investigation but was later released from police custody and remains under investigation.
No date has yet been set for Brewer’s trial, but he is due to appear at the same court again in May.
