FIREFIGHTERSÂ were called to a small fire at a fish and chips shop in Basingstoke.
Crews from Basingstoke and Tadley were called to an oil fire at the Trawlerman Fish and Chips shop in Centre Drive, Chineham at 1.33pm today (Monday, 5 March).
The fire started in the chip fryer and spread through the ventilation system.
Two breathing apparatus and a wet chemical extinguisher were used to put out the flames, with a tactical ventilation system used to clear the smoke from the store.
Crews got the stop message at 2.44pm and no injuries were sustained.
