THE family of Jason Williams have paid tribute to him after his body was found in South Ham.
The 41-year-old, of St Peter’s Road, was found dead in Russell Howard Park around 1.20am on Tuesday, 20 February.
Following the news of Mr Williams’ death his father, Victor Williams, said: “Jason will be sadly missed by his family.”
An ongoing investigation is being carried out by officers in relation to the incident where Mr Williams was killed by a single stab wound to the chest.
Two men, a 34-year-old and a 37-year-old, both from Basingstoke, were arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday (Wednesday, 21 February).
Both men remain in police custody after magistrates granted a warrant of further detention for 36 hours.
