A CAUSE which helps RAF families has received a boost from an amateur dramatics group.

Odiham’s Holy Ridiculous group presented a cheque for £250 at the end of their successful run of pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on February 3, to The Hive Community Liaison Group at RAF Odiham.

The cheque was presented to Group Captain Lee Turner, station commander at RAF Odiham and UK Chinook Force Commander.

Holy Ridiculous Publicity Officer, Mo Smith said, “We are a self-funding am dram group, so any profits we make go into our funds for the next production. However, our murder mystery, The Great British Bump Off! by Patricia Gunn, was such a success that we decided, once again, to

make a donation to a worthwhile local enterprise.

"This time it was the turn of The Hive, which supports RAF families, particularly when a member of the family is away from the base."

The giant cheque was presented by Wing Commander (ret) John Lambert, who, along with his wife, Carol, were made honorary members of Holy Ridiculous on the same evening, in recognition of their many performances and support of the group since it began in 2001
