INVESTIGATIONS are on going after a man was found dead in South Ham.

Police have now confirmed the man as 41-year-old Jason Williams, whose body was found in Russell Howard Park at 1.21am yesterday morning (Tuesday, 20, February).

A post-mortem-examination has confirmed that the 41-year-old, of St Peter’s Road, South Ham, was killed by a single stab wound to the chest.

Officers had cordoned off the field behind the Limington House School, with police going door-to-door to help with their investigation.

Mr Williams' next-of-kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

An increased police presence is expected in the South Ham area for the next few days whilst investigations are ongoing.
