A REPORT is set to be discussed looking at ‘operational and management issues’ within a borough council unit.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Human Resources Committee is set to discuss the review, entitled ‘Operational and Management Issues 2016-2018’ within its law and governance unit at a meeting today.
This report, only the title of which has been published on the meeting agenda due to confidentiality, was compiled following a request by the Labour group at a council meeting in December last year.
Due to this confidentiality, the majority of the meeting is due to be held behind closed doors.
As previously reported in The Gazette, a Freedom of Information (FoI) request showed within the period June 2016 to September 2017, nine people resigned from the roughly 40-person-strong unit and nearly 80 per cent of overall staff absence in the unit down to stress, depression and other mental health problems.
