BUDDING wizards and witches enjoyed an evening of magic at Festival Place.
The Waterstone’s store in the shopping centre hosted an evening celebrating J. K. Rowling’s book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
As well as enjoying the world of Harry Potter, people in attendance were also be able to get an exclusive pre-order deal for a special illustrated edition Rowling’s book The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
With a range of wizardry activities and games to take part in, guests were also encouraged to come in character and take part in the costume competition.
Joining them was the Basingstoke Cosplay Collective, a group of cosplayers who dress up in various characters for charity events and appearances such as this.
On Saturday, 10 February between 10am-2pm some of the cosplay group will be dressed up at the entrance to Matalan, raising money for the Make A Wish Foundation.
