SIX people have been arrested as part of an investigation into a street robbery.
An 18-year-old man had £40 stolen after being approached by three people in Wote Street, near to the Festival Place entrance.
The incident took place sometime between 5.15pm and 6.30pm on Saturday, 9 December.
Four people from Basingstoke, a 45-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
Two further people, a 37-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Basingstoke, have also been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently in police custody in connection with the incident.
