TWO people were left with facial injuries following an aggravated burglary in Basingstoke.

Three men, two of whom who had their faces covered, forced their way into a flat on Sinclair Drive and demanded money from the occupants.

Police reported that the incident took place at 6:30pm on Thursday, 23 November.

Once in the flat the men attacked a 38 year-old woman and a 35 year-old man before leaving empty handed.

The victims were later treated at Basingstoke hospital for cuts to their heads and are now recovering at home.

Police reported that the man who did not have his face covered was described by the victims as Asian appearance, in his thirties.6ft 1ins tall, of a muscualr build, having a neat black beard and was wearing a black baseball cap and black clothing.

All three men were described as wearing dark clothing and were last seen running towards the train station.

Investigating officer DC Drew Wright said: “We are treating this report as an isolated incident, but members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been regularly patrolling the area today.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any concerns can speak to one of these uniformed officers while they are on patrol”.
