A MAN has been left with serious injuries after he was attacked in a house by three masked men in the early hours of this morning.

Three men forced their way into a home in Burberry Court, off of Castle Road, Eastrop, between 12.15am and 12.30am today.

They assualted a man in the house before they fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Basingstoke Hospital for treatment where his injuries have been described as serious, but not life-threatening.

A 25-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and a 24-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

They are currently in police custody.

Police are now appealing for anyone who saw three men acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch or to call if they’ve found anything that looks like it was discarded in the area.
