BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans has revealed the first acts for his 2018 summer festival CarFest.

The family festival is back for its seventh year next August at Laverstoke Park Farm, in Overton, and the first confirmed acts include 80s icons Bananarama, The Feeling, Status Quo, Jools Holland, Peter Kay and The Proclaimers.

Tickets for the 2018 festival went on sale at 8am yesterday, after tickets for this year’s musical extravaganza selling out in a record time.

CarFest South will once again return to Laverstoke Park Farm on the  weekend of August 24–26 offering a mixture of cars, food, live music and family entertainment.

Next year, for the foodie fans, Joe Wicks, Nadiya Hussain, Candice Brown and Atul Kochhard will join festival favourite Tom Kerridge in the CarFest Kitchen.

Car fanatics will be able to get their fix with a car bungee that has never been attempted before in the UK, whilst Car-Topia will transport visitros  in to the future of cars.

The Car Paddock will also be back, celebrating the very best convertibles, coupes, grand tourers, saloons, shooting breaks and sports cars and take a trip to Oktoberfest featuring a display of the best German cars themed amongst a Bavarian beer hall with traditional food, music and entertainment.

This year, CarFest raised £3.1m, bringing the total raised since 2012 to an £10.5 million for BBC Children in Need.

A minimum of 25 per cent of the price of each ticket benefits BBC Children in Need with all further profits from the running of CarFest also donated to the charity.
