A MAN became trapped after a 27-tonne crane toppled over on to a property in South Ham.
Firefighters were called to the property in Pitman Close at 9.50am today (November 2), after reports that the crane had fallen on to the building causing substantial damage to its exterior.
A man became trapped in the cab of the crane, which crews had to cut free, but no injuries were sustained.
Five vehicles from Basingstoke fire station attended the scene, with one crew remaining in place to ensure the buildings stability and for public reassurance.
