DIRECTORS at a Basingstoke care home are bundling up to take on the Iceland Remote Highlands challenge for charity.
In July 2018, CEO Sean Gavin, brand director Jo Gavin, finance director William Dalton and HR director Leah Marie-Mills will be trekking through rivers, over lava fields, mountains and through gullies in aid of The Care Workers Charity.
The Care Workers Charity is a benevolent fund designed to support care workers.
In 2009, 15 key industry operators set up The Care Professional Benevolent Fund. By providing the initial funds to establish the charity, these individuals laid the foundations for an organisation dedicated to helping current, former and retired care workers.
At the end of 2013, The Care Professionals Benevolent Fund re-launched as ‘The Care Workers Charity’, the rainy day fund for care workers.
