HIGHWAYS England has announced the planned roadworks that will be taking place in and around Basingstoke this week.

In Hook, there will be work to improve journeys by carrying out CCTV drainage surveys at junction 5 on the M3.

There will be lane closures in place on the approaches to the roundabout overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday 17 October for 7 nights (Monday to Friday only).

In addition, the southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Friday 20 October with a clearly signed diversion in place via junction 6 and return.

Work is also being carried out to repair bridge supports at Junction 6 on the M3, Narrow lanes will be in place 24/7 on the roundabout beneath the M3 until February 2018.

The southbound exit slip road and the northbound exit and entry slip roads at junction 6 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 16 October for 4 nights. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via junction 5 and London Road, and via junction 7 and Winchester Road.
