THE finest musicians in the Royal Air Force return to The Anvil this month to perform a special ‘Stars and Stripes’ themed evening.

A special performance from the RAF will be celebrating 70 years of the United States Air Force.

Against a backdrop that charts the development of the US Air Force during the past seven decades, concertgoers will be able to enjoy American-inspired music that has helped provide the soundtrack to people’s lives the world over.

From the swing era to motown, country to rock and roll, accomplished musicians from the central band of the RAF will demonstrate their virtuosity across a wide range of genres.

Tour organiser Tina Outlaw said: “We’ve brought together a fantastic programme of music performed by some of America’s biggest names. By the end of the evening the audience will feel as if they’ve been served a delicious slice of apple pie – American style.”

The show will be stopping off at the Anvil on Wednesday, October 18 from 7.30pm.

To mark the occasion The Gazette has teamed up with the RAF to give away 20 pairs of tickets for the show.
