TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman who died after being discovered seriously injured on the A33 in Chineham last week.

A 32-year-old woman, Domanique Turner, was found badly hurt under the footbridge over the A33, between Lillymill Chine and Great Binfields Road, at around 10.30pm on Thursday, 21 September.

She later died at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and Hampshire Police is preparing a file for the coroner.

Domanique's next-of-kin are still receiving support from officers.

Writing on The Gazette’s Facebook page, Maria Goold said: “My baby cousin has gone and shall be missed by all of us.

“R.I.P, fly high sweetheart, heartbroken isn’t the word right now.”

“I just wish you spoke to me like you always did...

“I’ll always love you baby girl until I see you again sleep tight.”

Also writing on The Gazette’s Facebook page, Gina Izzo said “R.I.P Domanique you will be sadly missed you had such a lot of friends and colleagues at work we are all going to miss you.”

“My thoughts with her family at this sad and hard time.”

Since the tragedy members of the public have laid flowers on the footbridge where the woman’s body was found.

The family has thanked people for their condolences that have been flooding in to Facebook saying: “Thank you to everyone for your love and messages, this has been a really difficult time for our families.”

Tanya Shepherd, who said she called the ambulance to the scene, added: “I was thinking of her all night, the police and paramedics were amazing - they really worked so hard.

“I’m so sorry to her family and friends.”

Police officers were called to the scene along with colleagues from the South Central Ambulance Service and road closures were put in place on the Northbound Lillymill Chine with its junction with the A33 and Great Binfields Road, with its junction with the dual carriageway near Chineham Library.

An inquest into Domanique's death has been opened and adjourned and due is to be heard on November 22.
