THE chairman of Hart District council has launched his ‘Heart of Hart’ charity campaign and has announced his seven chosen causes to fundraise for.

Councillor Gerry Crisp said the campaign aims to feature one charity from seven towns and villages across the district, including Inclusion from Hook and Rosefield Day Centre, in Odiham.

These charities are alongside Aerobility from Yateley, First responders from Fleet and Church Crookham, Home-Start from Hawley and Blackwater, Phoenix from fleet and Riding for Disabled from Heckfield.

He will be hosting a range of activities including dinners, raffles and a concert to raise funds, which will be equally split between all the charities.

Speaking about the campaign, cllr Crisp said: “I have chosen these charities based on them being local and their clients being of vulnerable disposition.

“They have formed my Heart of Hart charity campaign and I look forward to raising funds for these well-deserving charities through my civic year.”

Cllr Crisp was elected as chairman of Hart District Council at the council’s Annual General Meeting in May.

Since then, he has been working with fellow councillors to create his ‘Heart of Hart’ charity campaign.
