A TEENAGE girl was left with a broken jaw after she was attacked by a trio of teens in broad daylight.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after the attack on the 17-year-old girl as she walked along a path between Swing Swang Lane and Lambs Row on Sunday, 10 September, between 4pm and 4.30pm.

The teenager was attacked near the path by three woman, said to be aged between 15 and 20. The trio fled the scene, but the 17-year-old was left with a broken jaw which required surgery.

All three of the girls are described as white. One has been described by police as around 5ft tall, of 'chubby' build and was wearing a black tracksuit with grey stripes down the arms and legs at the time of the attack.

The victim, who is from Newbury, was walking from Basingstoke train station to an address in Lychpit when she was attacked.
