THE speedy go-karting four-year-old, Ralphie Reeves, has continued to impress and rise through the ranks.

At his most recent race meeting at Shenington Raceway, which took place from September 9-10, Ralphie managed to move up to second place of the championship.

Ralphie is going from strength to strength, and his father Russell is hopeful that he will finish in the top three at the end of the season.

Russell Reeves said: “On Sunday, Ralphie drove really well, he qualified in fifth position for the first race.

“It started to rain which made racing tricky and we settled for sixth place which is still outstanding, in the next two races we finished in fifth.

“In the final, Ralphie’s engine failed on the second to last lap, I managed to get it started again and we managed to finish the race despite losing his place.”

Ralphie took home a great haul of points and with only two rounds to go, Ralphie is looking to finish in a very promising position at the end of the season.

Ralphie is away this weekend competing at Hooton park in Liverpool to get some more race time, so he is ready for the next round at Shenington in October.
