A HEALTH and fitness facility and workshop for golfers is set to come to a business park.
Plans have been approved to convert a unit of Chineham Point, on Crockford Lane, in to a health and fitness training facility and a bespoke machine workshop for golf athletes.
The facility, on a currently vacant site, would operate from 6am-10pm on Monday to Friday and 8am-8pm on weekends.
A planning statement which accompanied the application reads: “Generally peak trade is before and after normal working hours, however due to the nature of the business (one-to-one training), there will never be a high volume of customers at any one time, especially as the sessions are booked or invite-only.”
The plans were approved by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council on Wednesday, August 23. For more information about the application, go to planning.basingstoke.gov.uk/online-applications/ and search using the reference code 17/02101/FUL.
