A MOTHER has made an emotional appeal after her teenage son was threatened with a knife and headbutted in a town centre park.

The 13-year-old boy was walking with a friend in Eastrop Park, Basingstoke, at around 2.35pm on Saturday, 15 July, when he was approached by two other boys.

One of the boys threatened the 13-year-old with a knife, while the other one tried to take his phone.

When the teenager refused to hand over his phone, the second boy headbutted him, causing a bloody nose.

Now, the 13-year-old’s mother has made a plea for witnesses to the attack to come forward.

Sarah Harris said: “If anyone has an inkling as to who these boys are then please please call in, even anonymously.

“As a mother, the phone call broke my heart and I feared the worst, hearing your boy has a potential broken nose and the thought that your boy is scarred for his life is any mother’s worst nightmare.

“Even for the boys who did this sake- let them get help so they don’t hur t anyone in the future and end up spending their life in prison.

“Please let’s be brave and speak up , my son will heal in time but the boys who did this won’t - young boys should be enjoying their childhood not setting themselves up for prison.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and have is sued descriptions of two suspects wanted in connection with the attach.
