A BODY has been discovered near n a major hampshire road this morning.
Drivers faced delays of around two hours on the M3 after a body was discovered.
Police were called to the scene at around 4.50am this morning, but it is believed the man's body had been there for a number of hours and had not been discovered due to overnight closures.
Officers say the death is not thought to be suspicious. The man's family have been informed, but he is yet to be formally identified.
As a result of the incident, at junction 3 of the M3 northbound, the carriageway was closed, causing delays of around two hours back to junction 5 for Hook.
The carriageway reopened at around 9am, with delays easing as a result.
