A GROUP got messy raising money for charity in memory of two friends who died last year.

The Bishop Challoner class of 2008 reunited after classmate Ivory Lapitan, 24, died in April last year in an accident on the A33 near Micheldever and in January this year when another former student, Kim Ashford, died from an ongoing heart condition, aged 24.

A group of the pairs’ school friends took part in the Colour Run – a 5km event where runners have paint thrown at them – in London on June 11, and so far have raised more than £1,000.

Elizabeth Long, who took part, said: “On the way around the course, we couldn’t help thinking about what Ivory would have said if she were with us.”

Miss Ashford’s boyfriend Alex Stewart added: “I could imagine her running around with her, watching her giggle and grin.”
