THESE are some of the criminals from Basingstoke recently appearing in court.

MICHAEL Paul Bishop, 35, of Wilton Place, Kings Furlong. Pleaded guilty to harassment by sending numerous e-mails to a person who didn’t wish to be contacted between October 18, 2016 and February 27, 2017. Community order made. Also pleaded guilty to harassing a person by sending a series of abusive voice mails between February 5, 2017 and February 8, 2017. No further charge made.

LEON Banning, 24, of Mullins Close, Oakridge. Sentenced to seven days in jail for failure to pay a £634.30 fine on February 27, 2017.

CHRISTOPHER Lawrence Jones, 68, of Lower Brook Street, Brookvale. Found guilty of assault by beating on December 7, 2016. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £600 costs. Also found guilty of a second charge of assault by beating on the same date. Also fined £220.

BRANDON Allun Roberts, 19, of no fixed abode. Pleaded guilty to unlaw fully causing damage to two wooden doors and a window on March 20, 2017. Community order made. Also pleaded guilty to unlawfully causing damage to an oven door, blue kitchen bin and smashing a glass ashtray which did not belong to him on April 19, 2017. Ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £15 costs.

TIMOTHY Alan Chantler, 61, of Damson Drive, Hartley Wintney. Pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle, namely a BMW in Hackwood Road, without due care or attention on November 12, 2016. Fined £666 and ordered to pay £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with five points.

RONNY Thomas Lufwa, 28, of Chantry Mews, Hatch Warren. Pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle, namely a Ford Focus, without the proper insurance on March 25, 2017. Fined £325 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points. Also pleaded guilty to driving the same vehicle without showing L plates when driving on a provisional licence on the same date. Fined £105.

PETER David Clarke, 33, of Bennet Close, South View. Pleaded guilty to being in possession of a spliff and a class B drug, namely cannabis, at the police investigation centre in Basingstoke on April 28, 2017. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £20 costs.

JAMIE Naylor Hughes, 32, of Salmons Road, Odiham. Pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle in Hook Road whilst under the influence of alcohol on May 21, 2017. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

ZOE Louisa Pontin, 39, of Almswood Road, Tadley. Pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle, in Aldermaston Road, whilst under the influence of alcohol on May 20, 2017. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for three years.
