A MAN killed after a tree fell on his car while he was driving in Odiham earlier this week has been named.
An inquest has been opened in to the death of David John Hoyle, 48, from Crondall, who was driving on the A287 between Rye Common and Ewshot on Monday morning when the tree fell on his car.
Police were called at around 7.15am on Monday to reports of a tree having fallen on a car. Mr Hoyle was the driver of the car struck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The inquest has been opened and adjourned to resume at Basingstoke Law Courts on August 21.
