EMERGENCY services have been dealing with a four-vehicle collision on the M3 today. (May 22).
Police, Hampshire fire and rescue and South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) attended the scene at 9.16am, where one lane of the southbound carriageway of the M3 between junction 5 for Hook and junction 6 from the A339 towards Basingstoke was closed for serveral hours.
Hampshire fire and rescue service were called to the scene at 9.19am, when two appliances from Basingstoke and one from Winchester stations attended.
One female passenger was freed from her vehicle and was being treated at the scene by SCAS.
A spokesman from SCAS said: “We sent three ambulances to the scene along with the air ambulance rapid response car and our Hazardous Area Response Team.
“Two patients were taken to Basingstoke hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and four patients were treated at the scene for minor injuries.”
