PART of a major Hampshire road remains closed after a four-vehicle collision this morning.
There are currently long queues of up to an hour on the M3 Southbound between junction 5 for Hook and junction 6 from the A339 towards Basingstoke.
Hampshire fire and rescue service were called to the scene at 9.19am, when two appliances from Basingstoke and one from Winchester stations attended.
One female passenger was freed from her vehicle and was being treated at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).
The inside lane of the motorway is currently closed following a serious collision, but police have kept the remaining two lanes open.
