SERVICES have returned to normal at Basingstoke hospital after the weekend’s cyber-attack, it has been confirmed.

The cyber-attack led to the walk-in x-ray clinic department being closed for repairs yesterday (May 15), as engineers sorted the problems.

The Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has already confirmed that no data had been lost as a result of the cyber-attack, but a small amount of their computers related to the machines had been affected. However, they have now confirmed that services have returned to normal.

A statement released today by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “Radiology services at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital have returned to normal following the national cyber-attack.

“The walk-in x-ray service is now open for patients referred by their GP across all sites and patients with an appointment should attend as planned.”
