TWO worlds came together for a charity event as the circus took to the catwalk for a night of stylish hairstyles.

As part of the annual FHC for Hair show, held on April 10, models from Basingstoke Academy of Dancing were sporting circusthemed hairstyles.

Staff from the Kingsclere Road salon, used their creative talents to style models’ hair into looks fitting for gymnasts, mimes and even clowns, with there were designs covering a wide variety of looks from short to long, up dos and down dos and even coloured hair.

Held at the dance academy in Joule Road, the event was once again helping to raising money for St Michael’s Hospice.

Salon owner Graham Kent said he was delighted with another successful evening He said: “My team, led by hair show co-ordinator Chloe Merryweather, produced some fantastic looks which work well with the imaginative dance routines.

“We had some fantastic raffle prizes and we are very grateful to all the local companies who donated them.”

With more than 20 hairdos on display, everyone involved had a huge smile, as the event raised £1,470 for the hospice.
