A “DANGEROUS” pothole which caused “hundreds of pounds of damage” to a car in Oakley is finally set to repaired.
Roger Woodward, who lives in North Waltham with wife Anne, said he was “disgusted” at a pothole in an “unlit” passage of Rectory Road that had been left by Hampshire County Council workers unrepaired.
Driving the family’s small Kia Picanto along the road, Mrs Woodward drove into the “massive” pothole which caused approximately £300 worth of damage.
And now Mr Woodward is hoping to warn others about the large pothole.
Mr Woodward said: “It’s massive – about two-and-ahalf foot long and six inches deep. It was so big the bumper of the car hit the floor of the road and took it away from the car.”
A spokesman for HCC said: “The repair is scheduled for this week, weather permitting.”
