THESE are the photographs captured from 1000ft above Basingstoke as RAF Odiham Chinooks fly overhead.

During an exercise last month, a photographer from RAF Odiham took the images of Bramley, Brighton Hill, Hatch Warren, Basingstoke town centre and Odiham.

The training 'sortie' that day involved taking The Gazette's Clive Hammond above the town to explain the different heights at which the RAF fly and why these exercises are so vital.
