Winds of up to 42mph are set to hit Basingstoke tomorrow, according to forecasters.

A BBC Weather forecaster predicts tomorrow will be mainly dry but stronger winds will kick in from about 2pm and will start to rain from 5pm.

The start of next week does not seem to start off too well with forecasters warning of heavy showers with possible hail and thundery conditions.

From Monday to Wednesday, a Met Office forecaster said: "Occasional heavy showers on Monday and Tuesday with hail and thundery, possibly wintry, and sometimes sunny, chilly with patchy frost overnight.

"Becoming less cold later Wednesday with rain moving eastwards."
