POLICE have released more details about a crash involving a lorry on the A34 this morning.

Hampshire Constabulary say the incident happened shortly after 10am when a Mercedes Avantguard and a car collided on the northbound carriageway near Highclere.

The two vehicles blocked one lane of the dual carriageway, causing a 13 mile tailback as far as the A303 turnoff at Bullington Cross.

Police have confirmed that no-one was injured in the crash.

Both lanes of the A34 have now been reopened and the road is now clear.
