POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to talk to in connection with their investigation into a theft at a Co-op store in Basingstoke.

Officers are looking for a man who stole £280 from the till of King’s Road store, in South Ham whilst paying for a pint of milk.

The man is believed to have an injured hand as a staff member managed to slam the till shut as he was grabbing the money, before running out of the store.

The incident took place between 8.30pm and 8.40pm on October 22.

Officers described the man as being white, at least 6ft tall, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, big build with a ginger beard.
