A BASINGSTOKE bakery was vandalised in the early hours of this morning as the culprits attempted to steal goods from the store.
Greggs, in Houndmills Trade Park, was broken into between midnight and 2.30am, but the vandals left empty handed.
The front door of the store was smashed to gain entry, but nothing was taken from the store.
In anybody saw the incident or has any information they are asked to call police on 101 quoting 44160391596.
It is the second premises in Houndmills to be targeted in the last week.
As reported on The Gazette website, thieves also broke into Centaur News, in Kingsclere Road, overnight on Friday and stole a large sum of money and cigarettes.
