FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours tackling a blaze from a hay baler yesterday.
Crews from Basingstoke and Overton were called to the fire off Harrow Way, Oakley, at 4.10pm, after a piece of farming equipment had caught fire.
A total of 11 firefighters took three hours to extinguish the flaming piece of farm machinery, with approximately 24 acres of the surrounding farm land burnt from the flames.
Firefighters used foam appliances to extinguish the flames, nobody was hurt during the blaze.
